about

This song's production was inspired by DRAM & Lil Yachty's "Broccoli", I never thought that I would write that kind of banger but the song just came out of me. This song is the sister song of "i am of the divine", and is about keeping yourself centered in those moments when people verbally harass you or when you see hateful social media posts or articles in newspapers.

lyrics

[Verse 1: Wren Dove Lark]

I'm not your enemy
I'll never get the animosity
You seem to hold for me
I wonder where you find the energy

I turn the other cheek
I take the higher road and drive on through
Any havoc that you wreak
'Cause I'm shaped by forces much stronger than you

I'm one drop in the sea
Just one cell in the tallest of the trees
Just one star in the galaxy
But somehow you are still obsessed with me

[Chorus: Wren Dove Lark]

I bow my head and pray that you will see
I bow my head and pray that you will see
I bow my head and pray that you will see
The light I know that's radiating from me
It's radiating from me out to you
It's radiating from me
It's radiating from me out to you

Yeah
Somehow I once lost sight
Of the foundation I was built upon
That the love composing me
Means much more than these rants that you go on

So I try to leave you be
I try to give you space
But right now here you are
You're yelling in my face
Can't think of nothing else that I can do
But you look ridiculous

So go ahead and scream
Exorcise the hate you hold for me
And let the water wash you clean
It's time to let the bile inside you free

[Chorus: Wren Dove Lark]

I bow my head and pray that you will see
I bow my head and pray that you will see
I bow my head and pray that you will see
The light I know that's radiating from me
It's radiating from me out to you
It's radiating from me
It's radiating from me out to you

[Verse 3: Ishtar Sr.]

Held hostage by the Christians at the wine mixer
Two decades of pain for imaginary elixir
Ishtar? You tried to nix her
Two decades of pain for imaginary elixir

Rapture who? Say what
Liberation theologian, we save us
We save us
2015 nexus point of all the talk I take up

Your rose-colored glasses fogged up looking the pearliest
On some "status quo is perfect" shit
What demons to excise?
Memory dead wiped

Die on whatever hill you want
Still got' turn you fertilizer
Kindling purged to serve the fire
In Babylon cursed to traverse the wire

[Chorus: Wren Dove Lark]

I bow my head and pray that you will see
I bow my head and pray that you will see
I bow my head and pray that you will see
The light I know that's radiating from me
It's radiating from me out to you
It's radiating from me
It's radiating from me out to you
