This song functions as both a t4t lovesong and an ode to a trans person's gender which exists in their soul independent of their anatomy. All these conservatives and neoliberals are allowing a backsliding of trans rights and trying to gaslight all trans people into believing they are not the gender they say they are. I for one am so sick and tired of all these motherfuckers getting in the way of me and my inner girl and disrupting our peace. This song is a reclamation of my relationship with my inner girl despite all these external forces.
